Overview
"Beyond Belief" is an '80s movie featuring the iconic music of PETRA. The film centers on Andy, a teenage rocker with dreams of stardom. As an outsider coping with the loss of his father, Andy's life changes dramatically when he hears the voice of God telling him to "RUN." This moment propels him on an extraordinary journey of faith, resilience, and self-discovery as Andy must learn to listen to and follow God's voice to uncover and fulfill his ultimate purpose in life. "Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart."
We are a dedicated group of Christian filmmakers committed to creating compelling stories that glorify God and inspire others to experience a deeper connection with Him. Beyond Belief is a fun, rock 'n' roll '80s movie that resonates with a broad audience, including Petra fans, faith-based film enthusiasts, and anyone who loves a good underdog story. This project is a passionate endeavor designed to introduce the 50-year legacy of Petra's rocking ministry to a new generation while evoking nostalgia for those who grew up in that unforgettable decade.
As of August 1, we are in pre-production, actively casting and assembling our crew. Filming will take place at various locations in Illinois, with principal photography scheduled to begin on October 1st for a 24-day shoot.

Petra is one of the most popular Christian rock bands of all time! An iconic 80’s rock band, Petra has sold over 10 million records, won 4 Grammys and 10 Dove Awards, and been inducted into both the Christian Music Hall of Fame and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Johnny made his directorial debut on the feature film “One Hit From Home,” distributed by Pure Flix Entertainment and available nationwide on Redbox, Netflix, and other platforms. He also directed and wrote “Grace Wins,” another faith-based feature film, which will be released in October 2024 through Bridgestone Media.
Dave has collaborated with Pure Flix on films such as “God’s Not Dead 2,” “Samson,” and others. He served as Producer of “The Encounter” series for the PureFlix streaming platform, which has been seen by over 8 million people.
JJ is a film industry veteran who has helmed over a dozen feature films, including the upcoming “The Wayfaring Stranger” with Stephen Baldwin, “Grace Wins,” and “Disciples in the Moonlight,” which will hit theaters nationwide in 2024.
